About the Event

Held under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship returned to the UAE capital for its 11th annual edition from 20 to 26 April 2019.

It took place at the Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City, the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship entered a second decade with elite male and female athletes from more than 100 countries competing across various Championship categories for a collective prize fund of up to AED 2 million.

Opened to all nationalities and age groups, the full event programme included the Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Festival & Para Jiu-Jitsu on 20 April, the Abu Dhabi World Youth Championship on 21 and 22 April, the Abu Dhabi World Masters Jiu-Jitsu Championship on 23 March, and a series of blue to black belt professional championship from 24 to 26 April.
